After our ICON session with Loretto Campbell on Friday several uses for
Google forms sprang to mind. Initially, I thought that this would be a
great way for students to nominate which students they wish to be placed
with in class in the following year. This means it could be completed
either at home in consultation with parents so that "good choices" could
be made or, alternatively, in private so that more vulnerable students
would not be subjected to the " pick me" pressure. The use of a drop
down list of options means that students who are away for the day and/or
in another classroom would not be omitted from choice.
The forms could also be used as a topic pre-test/post-test so that
learning can be focused on the area of need and accurate assessment
could be paper free.
